We recently returned from a delightful four-night getaway at Butlins in Bognor Regis, and it was a fantastic experience. We were fortunate to choose a week with stunning weather, a pleasant surprise as I had anticipated rain!
Looking ahead, we have plans to visit the two other Butlins resorts, Minehead and Skegness, later this year. Stay tuned for future posts about those adventures 🙂
Remarkably, our entire holiday only cost us £56, covering accommodations for two adults and two toddlers over the four-night stay! Here’s a breakdown of the costs for your reference.
We made our reservation through the Sun holidays, securing a fantastic rate of only £9.50 per person for the four-night stay. Additionally, there are several Facebook groups you can join to stay updated on deals and updates.
For those who prefer a day trip experience, it’s definitely an option I’ve personally enjoyed in the past. It’s just as enjoyable!
Upon our arrival, we received wristbands and key cards, granting access to our rooms. Although room access wasn’t available until 4 pm, we were free to explore Butlins while we waited.
Our accommodations were cozy and compact, but pleasant. Being on the ground floor was a nice perk. There’s a variety of room options to choose from, so be sure to visit the website to find the best fit for your preferences.
What activities are available for you?
Splash Water World
My absolute favorite part of the trip! Butlins offers an indoor water wonderland called Splash Water World, featuring numerous slides and an impressive wave machine. Words can’t quite capture the excitement, so I recommend checking out the website for pictures. I’m looking forward to our return next year to experience their upcoming outdoor water park!
Fairground
Another highlight is the amusement park, perfect for older kids and adults. The vibrant lights and lively atmosphere are sure to captivate the little ones. While my daughter was too short for most rides, there are still plenty of enjoyable options for young children.
Softplay
There’s an indoor play zone designed for various age groups.
Live shows
At Butlins, they offer live performances suitable for all ages. The shows vary each day, providing flexibility if you happen to miss one—you’ll likely have another opportunity. During our stay, we were entertained by a range of shows, including the Teletubbies, the comedic and musical pantomime “Cinderella Rocks,” and the delightful appearances of the Mr. Men and Little Miss characters.
Photos
You can take photos with some of the characters from the shows professionally (for a fee) and on your phone.
There’s a wide array of dining spots available at the resort, along with a convenient supermarket where you can purchase food, snacks, and drinks. However, I suggest grabbing snacks and other essentials before arriving, as I found the prices at the on-site supermarket to be a bit high.
Truly, it’s hard to find a dull moment here. The options are endless, from outdoor parks and arcades to day and evening entertainment, even a mini fairground indoors for the little ones. We’re eagerly anticipating our next visit!

I have no idea how you got that deal on Butlins! We paid ten times that! 😫 Please advise how you did this!
