REVIEW: Halloween FUN at Priory Farm

Today’s adventure took place at Priory Farm. It’s a terrific day out for all the family and surprisingly our very first time visiting a pumpkin patch!

Address.

Priory Farm Sandy Lane, South Nutfield, Redhill RH1 4EJ

Parking is free!

Price.

Spooky trail – £5 per person. Book here.

Tractor rides – £3 per person. Book here.

Opening times.

Spooky Trail – Saturday 10th October – Sunday 1st November. It runs every day until Sunday 1st November.

Tractor rides to pumpkin field – 10th; 11th; 17th; 18th; 24th; 25th through to 31st October.

So you sill need to book the spooky trail and tractor ride separately. The only way to get to the pumpkin patch is via the tractor ride. I assume this is because it’s across the road from the spooky trail and it’s the safest option for you. Tickets seem to be available for the spooky trail, but the tractor rides are limited. Make sure you check out the website daily to see if any more become available.

Before you enter the spooky trail, you will have to have your tickets scanned at the desk which is right by the entrance. There you can buy some fish food for only £1 and some other snacks if you like. You can also collect a trail sheet and a pencil so you can tick off all the things you see.

The Trail is really cool and well thought out. Be aware that there are some parts that can be a little scary for super young children.

Your aim is to solve the pumpkin mystery. You need to follow the directions and make a note of all the letters you find at each spot to spell out the pumpkin thief’s name. You can then post your form in the box at the end of the trail to be in with a chance of winning some goodies.

The trail took us 1 hour to finish and then we fed the fish straight after.

The tractor ride was up next. There’s nothing super spectacular about it and you’ll probably only see a duck or two but the whole point of it is for it to safely take you to the pumpkin patch.

We picked two super cute pumpkins, and they came to a total of £2. Please note they’re not accepting cash.

You will have to wait around until the next tractor comes round to take you back. There little games to keep the kids entertained while you wait.

And just like that our time and Priory Farm was over. We could’ve checked out Pumpkin Palace, but I completely forgot plus it was raining.
