We were invited back to check out their festive activities and little miss had the best time!
This time around we were able to check out Hidden London (it wasn’t opened the last time we went).
What is it?
Visit an ‘abandoned’ Tube station underworld and discover what secrets lurk beneath our busy streets in our new Hidden London exhibition, now open!
I really enjoyed the exhibition. It was so interesting to see the hidden parts of London and especially learning about The Windrush era as we are Jamaican.
You can also take part in family activities here , including winter decoration making (drop in between 10:30 – 17:30) and a seasonal sing-a-long (11:30 and 13:30). Find out more on their family events page!
We did both events and little miss enjoyed them thoroughly. She’s very proud of her decorations and she can’t wait to hang them on our tree!
Also, don’t forget to find Santa in the Museum, either in his hideaway or searching around their heritage vehicles for a new sleigh.
It’s a really cute experience and you even get to meet and elf! This is included in your ticket price!
We then checked out the new canteen which was just lovely and I was happy to learn that they have table service which really helps out when you have young kids!
The menu is great and reasonably priced. Lots of healthy options. The children’s menu is just £5.25 with optional extras!
The food was delicious and the service was great! Neither one of us had any complaints! I’m usually one to bring a packed lunch everywhere but it’s nice to know we can revisit knowing they have good food available!
The canteen design
The Canteen has been designed to celebrate London Transport’s design legacy as one of the world’s most recognisable brands. Some of the items you’ll be able to see include light fittings that were never installed at Embankment station, wooden benches found in the basement of Wembley Park and Gloucester Road, as well as salvaged luggage racks from 1960s decommissioned trains.
I have something special for you guys…I have a discount code for their online shop.
The code is “KIDDOADVENTURES20” and valid for 20% off for ALL of their Christmas ranges (and everything else under the Christmas drop down!).
It’s valid for 1 use per person from 3rd December – 15th December.
I hope you guys get to visit during the festive season because it really is special! There’s loads of festive activities going on around Covent Garden too so you’ll be able to make a day of it!
Museum admission tickets are valid for 12 months. This gives you UNLIMITED daytime entry to the Museum. Kids go FREE!
Our entry and meals were complimentary but all views are my own!
