Father Christmas has lost his map on a practice run of his delivery route! Thankfully our trusty ensemble has found it but they need your help to return it to him ahead of the big day!

We need to zip around the world on an orchestral adventure to track him down. Along the way we’ll ice skate on frozen lakes, go on a Sleigh Ride and enjoy a white Christmas, all without leaving the Royal Albert Hall’s magical auditorium.

We’ll be singing, dancing and best of all, a full symphony orchestra will bring our adventure to life.

Will you help Albert’s Orchestra save Christmas?

You can purchase tickets here.

Thursday 5 – Sunday 22 December 2019

Starts: 9:00am

In this theatrical walk-around event, children will encounter a range of magical North Pole characters in various spaces of the Hall on their way to meet Father Christmas himself.

In this fun and festive experience, they’ll discover the stories and characters of Christmas’ past through engaging puppetry and live music, and will even gain some secret elf knowledge with the chance to make and bring home their very own stuffed toy!

Tickets can be purchased here.

Every year, tens of thousands spend the end of December with us and Birmingham Royal Ballet. 2019 is no exception as The Nutcracker returns to the Royal Albert Hall following critically-acclaimed seasons in 2017 and 2018. This enchanting production, featuring Tchaikovsky’s ravishing score, is without a doubt the quintessential Christmas treat for all the family.

Created specially for the Royal Albert Hall, with gorgeous period costumes, stunning lighting, and dazzling projections by Tony Award-winning 59 Productions, this Christmas classic is brought to life by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s world-class dancers and its orchestra, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.

Don’t miss your chance to relive the magic of Christmas, as Clara’s nutcracker doll and toy soldiers come to life at the stroke of midnight and journey through a fantastical winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes and the kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy!

Lightopia Festival

Manchester, Edinburgh and London!

We want to build on the idea that Lightopia transcend the original form and serve an even higher purpose through careful artistic intervention.

Tickets are now available for Manchester and you can buy them here.
