So we recently took a Megabus tour and it was a lovely 2 hour ride around Central London. We’ve been meaning to do an open bus tour for the longest time and I’m glad we chose Megabus.
Our driver was absolutely lovely so if anyone from Megabus reads this blog…give that man a raise 😀
So how much?
I got the tour for just £1! Yes that’s right just £1 and I’ll explain how now…
Do you have one? Get one! Well that’s if you shop in Tesco.
How does it work?
Get points with your Clubcard – Collect 1 point for every £1 you spend in-store and online. On fuel it’s 1 point for every £2 you spend.
Points add up to vouchers – They turn your points into vouchers to help you save on your weekly shopping, fun days out and much more. 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher.
So I had £3 worth of vouchers to use. Which some how meant I had £9 to use for Megabus (no idea how it works but I’m not complaining😀)
So the 2 hour tour was £9 with a £1 booking fee. Thanks to Tesco I only paid the booking fee which was brilliant!
You can also use your points for other days out like Chessington and Legoland!
The booking process
Very simple. Just follow the instructions and input your code that you’ll receive in an email from Tesco.
You’ll get an email confirmation of your booking and details on where to find the pick up stop
What did we like about the tour?
The knowledge – you can learn a lot about London in just 2 hours! We saw a few Harry Potter filming spots too!
The day was sunny – I would always suggest checking the weather before booking. There are seats downstairs but I think it’s better to experience the tour upstairs in the sun!
Comfortable – it was a very comfortable ride and the seats were leather and clean! Not like you’re ordinary smelly London bus 🤣
Friendly staff – as mentioned before the driver was really nice and let the kids take pictures in his seat!
You’ll are able to get onboard on their open top double-decker buses in central London every day of the week, every hour between 10:00 and 17:00. And you can start and end your tour from three locations:
The London Eye
Tower of London
There are different prices for different items. The cheapest I have found is £5. Kids age 3 and under are FREE
Would we go again?
Absolutely as long as the weather is nice! However if they do, do a Christmas lights tour then I would be interested in that too.
