How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World – Review

We go to the cinema ALL the time so I thought it would be a great idea to start mini movie reviews on the blog! Don’t expect anything super spectacular haha but I just want to share with you guys whether or not it’s worth going to see some of these movies.

There are some amazing family films coming out this year and a lot of Disney remakes were excited to watch!

So let’s talk Dragons!

Is it bad that we haven’t seen the first 2 movies? 🤦🏽‍♀️ Well we will now because we definitely enjoyed the latest one!

This wasn’t on our list of movies to watch but recently we went to Westfield and little miss really enjoyed the fun green screen experience they had promoting the movie. Check out the finished product below! (Great marketing btw!)

Synopsis:

When Hiccup discovers Toothless isn’t the only Night Fury, he must seek “The Hidden World”, a secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. – IMDB

Running time:

1hr 38mins

What I loved…

As mentioned before we haven’t seen the previous movies and we haven’t read the books but that was fine as you kinds of get the backstory with little flashbacks within the movie. I thought this movie was fab! There are some real funny moments as well as heartwarming ones!

The whole movie is visually stunning. The scenes with the dragons flying were just lovely to watch! I never thought I’d see the day where I would think that a dragon is cute but Toothless is just adorable and watching him fall in love was just great!

What little miss loved

So we had a little talk about the movie on the walk back to the car and this is what she had to say…remember she’s only 3😀:

“mummy I liked the little white baby dragon. The dragon shouted fire and it was hot. What’s the name of the black dragon?” 😀

I would give the movie 5 stars! The ending is bound to put a smile on your face and it’s a good one for all the family to enjoy!
