Cheeky Kitchen

We love cooking classes so today we decided to pop down to Cheeky Kitchen led by the lovely Irene.

The classes are designed for little ones from 2.5 years and are packed with lots to do!

What I really liked was the fact there was a little chill out area for parents to relax while their little ones cook away in the kitchen.

The class starts off with the kids washing their hands and putting on their aprons. Irene makes sure to put emphasis on hygiene which is great, every kids needs to protect themselves from germs.

Today the kids made Pepper boats and they all had fun taking it in turns making the couscous, and creating their very own unique pepper boats.

The children also learn through cooking too as they are encouraged to point out the different colours and textures the foods have. Also in these classes, you can expect your child to learn:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Literacy
  • Physical development
  • Mathematics
  • Communication and lanaguage
  • Expressive arts and design
  • Understanding of the world

While the pepper boats were in the oven, Irene read the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar to the children which again encouraged them to count and identify different foods.

My daughter had a lot of fun and this was her first time trying couscous and she couldn’t stop eating it 😀 this is something I know I can add to my shopping list now!

Many thanks to Irene for having us and for our cool Cheeky Kitchen bag 🙂

For more info check out the website. The Cheeky Kitchen is also on the app Hoop!
