So I started off with a baby group. When you have a baby and you’re discharged from hospital you’ll probably get a visit from a health visitor (sometimes even before the baby is born). Again I won’t go much in detail about them but mine gave me a leaflet for my local Sure start centre.
What’s a sure start centre?
So yeah I went to my local Sure start centre where they hold different baby groups for different age groups (usually 0-5). It was nice to just get out the house and meet other mums too. They’re also good for your baby. My daughter learned how to roll over because she saw all the other babies doing it.
I think the centres are great and they’re usually free. My local centre offered a free baby massage class which was a great bonding experience for me and the little one. There’s also another centre not too far from me that offers swimming lessons (for a small fee per class) so I would recommend checking out your nearest centre to see what they have to offer.
So there you have it. My first post 🙂 I didn’t want to make it super long but if you have any questions I’m here ready to answer 🙂
My next one will be about Peppa Pig Live.
